The NC/SC STMA Southeast Regional Sports Turf Conference committee is already planning for the 2020 conference November 15–18 in Myrtle Beach. As part of that conference the last several years the conference has hosted the STMA Certified Sports Field Manager (CSFM) exam proctored by Will Rogers. The preparation for the exam takes a little studying and planning prior to the exam. To become a CSFM you must be a member of the STMA and have prior approvals to sit for the exam.
The NC/SC STMA chapters are making an initiative this year to promote the CSFM status and challenge you to take the exam if not already certified. You can visit www.stma.org/csfm for further information about the program.
If you have any further questions about the CSFM certification, you may contact Will Rogers at email@example.com
Below is information taken straight from the STMA website with a summary about the CSFM.
"Having recognized the importance of fostering and improving professionalism within the sports turf industry, STMA has developed a certification program for sports turf managers.
Attaining the Certified Sports Field Manager status means you will be looked upon as a leader in the industry. It will give you a sense of pride and accomplishment and it can even improve your current or future employment prospects.
Becoming a CSFM is meant to challenge your knowledge of managing sports fields and to draw upon all aspects of your background in education and experience to prove that you are one of the best in the industry. Meeting the challenge can contribute to your professional advancement in sports field management."
We look forward to seeing you at the Southeast Regional Sports Turf Conference in 2020.
