South Carolina Sports Turf Association

Members of the South Carolina Sports Turf Managers Association (SCSTMA) manage the sports fields of schools, universities, and parks and recreation departments, as well as those used by professional teams throughout South Carolina.

This organization of professionals combine scientific agronomic principles with technical expertise to develop and maintain safe and aesthetically pleasing playing surfaces for ALL levels of play. Our Chapter offers its members the opportunity to meet regularly to discuss and develop athletic field programs and share their expertise to best serve athletes at all levels. We are one of 27 recognized chapter affiliates of the National STMA.

The New Year - 2010:
Feb, 01 2010 — The SCSTMA finished off strong in 2009 with the Myrtle Beach Meeting in November and the Busniess & Awards meeting at USC in December. 2010 will start off fast with the first meeitng at the Historic Citadel & the Charleston River Dogs in March. May will move north to USC Upstate to see some of the finest fields in the south. September we have a tentative meeting planned with the SC P&R in Hilton Head and them back to what is becoming a SE Regional event -the combined SC/NC STMA & CGCSA meeting in Myrle Beach in mid November. This will be a three day event: Monday - golf & sporting clays, Tuesday - hands-on education, trade show and social, & Wednesday special educational guest speakers and Q&A panel capped off with the last day of the trade show. Mark yor calendar and plan you budget/educational dollars for all these events!
